Christmas Gift Ideas from Coulee View Family Farm

Christmas will be here sooner than you think so here are a few gift ideas from Coulee View Family Farm.

Give a Meat CSA Subscription:  If you are looking for a gift for someone near one our our CSA delivery locations, consider giving them a meat CSA subscription.  Information on our CSA types and delivery sites can be found at our on-line application at:  http://couleeviewfarm.csasignup.com
If you place your order before we make our December deliveries, we could get you the December share to present to your giftee or we can provide you with a certificate to give and we would then start the subscription with the January delivery and your gift will be appreciated for the next six or twelve months during the CSA duration.

Give a Coulee View Gift Certificate:  We can also provide gift certificates that can be used on Coulee View meats at our LaCrosse and PdC markets, or applied to a whole or half hog purchase, or used to order meat to be delivered during one of our monthly CSA share deliveries.

Give a Whole or Half Hog Package:  We have hogs going in for processing the week of December 10th.  This is just in time for the bacon, sausage, roasts, chops and Christmas hams to be ready for the holidays.  Contact us soon if you are interested in pursuing this as the availability is limited.  Pasted below is a link with information and pricing on half and whole hogs:

Christmas Ham or Turkey for Christmas Dinner:  Consider providing a special touch to Christmas dinner with a local ham or heritage turkey from Coulee View Family Farm.  We have a very limited supply of heritage turkey so contact us very soon if you are interested in this.  We will also have nitrate free smoked hams available from our upcoming processing date; just let us know if you are interested in this so that we know how many smoked hams to have made during our upcoming hog processing.

Give a January Half or Whole Hog:  We also have a number of hogs scheduled for processing in January.  For this option you will make a $50 reservation fee and pay the remainder of the hog fee and the processing costs in January.  This allows you the option of allowing the giftee to make the processing decisions.  Since with this option you won't have the pork in time for Christmas, we will provide you with a Coulee View certificate describing the gift.  The link in the section above has information and pricing for half and whole hogs.


Prairie Street Farmers Market Gift Box:  The members of the Prairie Street Farmers Market have put together a holiday gift box. It includes a jar of jam from Austins Rushcreek Farm, a honey from Mondale Hill Apiary, a package on cornbread mix or breakfast cereal from Mountain Lane Farm and a bar of soap from Coulee View Family Farm. The cost is $18.  To order, just email us or visit the Prairie Street Winter Market in the PDRI building in PdC on Saturdays before Christmas from 9am to 1pm.

Cameron Park Market Gift Box.  Some of the vendors from Cameron Park Market in LaCrosse have also developed gift boxes. The large size is $35 and contains the following wonderful market items:

• Jar of popcorn from Buffalo Hills
• Jar of honey from Don Eden
• Bottle of cider vinegar from Hoch Orchard & Gardens
• Jar of salsa from Chip Magnet
• Jar of jam from Adams Garden of Eden
• Package of potpourri from HerbsAllAround
• Bar of soap from Coulee View Family Farm 

A small basket is $22 and includes your choice of four items:
2 of the popcorn, salsa, honey, or cider vinegar
and

2 of the soap, jelly, or potpourri
