Coulee View Family Farm Won't be at the Prairie Street Market on the 10th
Coulee View Family Farm will not be at the Prairie Street Farmers Market on Saturday, 8/10 as we will be helping prepare for the Crawford County Fair animal auction. Consider coming to the auction and supporting Kylie and Drew and all the other area youth that will be auctioning their 4H and FFA animal projects at the fair. The auction starts at 12:30, but come a bit early to register and get a bidding number. We will be back to Prairie Market next week.

Support Farm to School and Local Food Monday at Old Man River in McGregor, IA
Come enjoy Coulee View Family Farm pork chops and other local food at the local food meal Monday night at Old Man River, http://www.oldmanriverbrewery.com/
This is a fundraiser for Farm to School programs in Crawford County, WI and Clayton County, IA. 15% of the sales will be donated to these efforts.
The meal starts with local sausages and cheeses until 6PM, then a salad with locally smoked trout and local feta cheese, the entree is a Coulee View Family Farm tenderized pork chop rolled with WI mozzarella, local asparagus, and herbs, served with WI snap peas, and slow roasted carrots and onions, with in-house made spaetzel, followed by a slice of local rhubarb and strawberry pie topped with local ice cream. The cost is $25
This is the first of a monthly "Lovin' Local, Driftless Dining" on the last Monday of each month throughout the summer. The event will celebrate local foods and farms while supporting local Farm to School Programs and school gardens. Activities will include a local art, wine and cheese reception starting at 5 p.m., followed by dinner service showcasing local foods at 6 p.m. In conjunction with the dinner, there will be a fundraiser for both the Clayton and Crawford County Farm-to-School garden programs.
We are very excited about this effort to promote local foods in our area restaurants and hope many of you can be there to make this a success. Unfortunately we scheduled CSA share deliveries for this day so we will miss this one, but we have these meals on our calendar for the rest of the summer.
Thanks all!
